Spectrum Allocation Methods by means of Weighting Slots in Elastic Optical Networks based on Distributed Control Plane

Abstract(in English) Optical path establishment is executed with RMSA (Routing, Modulation Level and Spectrum Allocation) in elastic optical networks. As a control method of executing RMSA, we utilize the distributed control method with signaling, which can flexibly respond to changes in traffic conditions and to addition and subtraction of nodes on GMPLS Network. However, this distributed control cannot avoid rejection of the path demand due to the preceding the other optical path establishment by the signaling delay when the optical path is established between the end nodes. In this paper, we propose a spectrum allocation method that aimed at suppressing rejection of the path demand due to transmission time difference of signaling. This method weights each slot when running signaling and selects the slots to allocate the optical path based on the weight. We were able to decrease 51.88% the call blocking probability in compared with the previous method by using both methods in NSF topology.
