Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Dogs may wet a floor with their urination. To prevent this problem, the owner makes the dog wear a diaper. If the urine absorption volume in the diaper is evaluated, it will help the owner to reduce the economic burden and the labor of exchange to reduce the economic burden of the owner and the labor of exchange. We aim to develop a system that estimates urine absorption volume in a diaper and inform the owner of it. A capacitive sensor was wrapped outside the diaper, and the water absorption volume in the diaper was estimated from the number of charge - discharge cycles. The number of charge - discharge cycles decreased with increasing water absorption volume in the diaper. In addition, the sensor was built in the diaper cover so that it could be attached easily.
