[Invited Talk] Nonlinear Fourier Transformation and Its Application to Optical Fiber Communication

Abstract(in English) The nonlinear Schrödinger equation (NLSE) is a widely used mathematical model which describes behaviors of a complex envelope of lightwave propagating in a nonlinear dispersive fiber. The initial value problem of NLSE can be analytically solved by the nonlinear Fourier transform (NFT). In this paper, we show the NFT based solution of NLSE and introduce eigenvalue modulation scheme and optical rogue wave analysis as applications of NFT for optical fiber communications.
