Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we propose a two-slot antenna inserted by an edge of a mobile device substrate for the 60-GHz band. The dimension of the designed antenna is 8.0 × 4.5 × 2.5 mm3. The reflection is less than -11.5 dB, the realized gain is larger than 9.4 dBi and the 3-dB-down beam width on both E- and H-plane is between 47° – 63° over the bandwidth from 57 to 66 GHz. The designed antenna was fabricated by machining a brass block and measured. The measurement shows reflection less than -9.5 dB, gain larger than 7.0 dBi and beam width between 54° – 65° over the bandwidth.
