Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper proposes a random codebook design and its constraint for Gaussian belief propagation (GaBP) in massive Sparse Code Multiple Access (SCMA). In conventional SCMA, incoming bits are directly mapped to multi-dimensional codewords selected from a predefined optimal codebook, and a massage passing algorithm (MPA) is applicable as the detection scheme for multiuser detection. As the number of transmit streams increases, however, it is difficult to design optimal codebook due to a large number of its candidates, and the complexity of MPA exponentially increases. To solve these inconvenient problems, we employ the random codebook and GaBP iterative detection, which is lower complexity MPA algorithm. To improve the convergence property of GaBP iterative detection, we proposes a novel random codebook design and its constraint. Finally, we demonstrate the validity of our proposed method, in terms of improvement of bit error rate (BER) performance.
