Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Toward the 5th Generation Mobile Communications (5G), by using massive MIMO, small cell constructing technologies for offloading traffic in areas where users are densely have been studied. We have studied to make entrance link to small cell base-stations wireless, aiming at the rapid deployment of 5G small cells. On the systems, both of entrance base-stations (EBSs) and relay-stations (RSs) are fixedly installed at high location and it is expected that the direct wave is dominant on the environment. For massive MIMO technologies in such environment, we have proposed 1-tap time-domain beamforming (TDBF) and digital assisted analog beamforming (DAABF). TDBF achieves simplified control. DAABF is useful for low cost implementation by reducing required number of analog digital convertors (ADCs) and digital analog convertors (DACs). In order to confirm the feasibility of the proposed schemes on real environment, we have performed propagation measurement on outdoor and indoor environment at 75GHz band, and collected many sets of channel state information (CSI) on massive antenna systems. In this paper, we show the evaluation results and their effectiveness. In case employing 20 x 10 = 200 antenna elements with about 1.3 wavelength spacing, the proposed schemes can form highly accurate directional beams like maximal ratio combining (MRC) on frequency-domain. Moreover, in case implementing over 6-8 spatial multiplexing, since orthogonalization loss was quite small, we clarified that efficient spatial multiplexing can be realized.
