Study on interactive digital photomosaic system

Abstract(in English) This paper proposes a Interactive Photomosaic generation system which enables the user form a single large picture composed of many small photographs. Photomosaic is often used to form a large facial picture using small pictures associated with a person in a face photo. In order to clearly express the face with the mosaic pattern, a high resolution image is required around the eyes and the mouth and in the outline portion of the face. In the proposed system, it is possible to generate photo mosaic images at high speed by interactive adjustment of mosaic resolution. As a result of the evaluation experiment, it was confirmed that the quality of the photo mosaic created by the proposed system is fine.
