Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In order to develop safety driving support system for bicycles, we examined a seamless network based on ZigBee. In the network, a coordinator which establishes the communication between bicycles and cars is located at each intersection and used to cover the end devices within 120 m diameter. We also considered the network-switching scheme by changing the directivity of antenna and using RSSI (Received Signal Strength Indication) for cars or bicycles moving from one network to another. As a result, it was found that the seamless network switching could be realized if the distance between intersections is 84m or more under this experimental condition.
