Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This report shows the result of conducting lessons using IT-inspired educational tool kit for IT primary scholars and verifying the educational effect of teaching materials named tangible experimental toolkit. The toolkit was developed as a tangible teaching material for learning wireless communication which is one of IT technologies. It was developed to encourage elementary and junior high school students to experience the fun of IT technology. A lecture scenario with the toolkit was designed as cobination between aquisition of knowledge and utilizing knowledge using the toolkit. Our objective is to cultivate the ability to utilize the knowledge acquired in the lecture. We assume that the toolkit is helpful to cultivate the ability. We expect that practical training using the toolkit easily causes students trial-and-errors. Because students can pursue the truth immediately with the toolkit even if they have doubts. Although they might have another new doubt in trial-and-errors, they can pursue the futher truth. We think that these trial-and-errors cause them deep learn. In oder to confirm our assumption, we gave a lecture on amplitude modulation transmission to eight teenager students going to programming school. We conducted a mean opinion score test for investigating an interest of the lesson. The result showed that average score was 4.25 among 8 students. The lowest was 4. Therefore we conclude that students enjoy the lesson by using our toolkit.
