[Invited Talk] Power-Over-Fiber Technologies for Optically Powered Remote Antenna Units in Radio-Over-Fiber Systems

Abstract(in English) This paper reviews recent power-over-fiber technologies for optically powered remote antenna units in radio-over-fiber systems. In simultaneous radio- and power-over-fiber transmission, it is very important to increase available optical transmission power and suppress the crosstalk between the feed light and radio-over-fiber signals in transmission lines. Here, optical fiber is one of the key components for achieving higher power transmission efficiency of feed light and higher transmission performances of radio-over-fiber signals. In this paper, I introduce recent works about power-over-fiber technologies for radio-over-fiber systems using various kinds of optical fibers.
