Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, it is possible to propagate light energy in nano region beyond diffraction limit by arrangement of minute metallic cylinders and localized surface plasmons. Using the cylinder chain, the size of optical devices, such as plasmonic waveguides and light antennas, can be reduced. In this paper, we investigate of wavelength responses of plasmonic resonances in metallic cylinders and propose a method to control the resonance to change the cross section of the metallic cylinders from circle to ellipse.
