Abstract(in English) | A CMOS Ising Computing based on Ising model, which effectively solves combinational optimization problems necessary for optimization of social system, is proposed. The Ising computing provides suboptimal solutions of the combinational optimization problems by mapping the problems into the Ising model, which exhibits behavior of spins, and observing a convergence result of the spins. Two kinds of prototype based on 65-nm CMOS process (first generation) and FPGA (second generation) are fabricated. The prototype experimentally demonstrates that the problem is successfully solved. The power efficiency of the prototype is 1800-times higher than that of the conventional Von-Neumann computer. |
