Abstract(in English) | The frequency used in the mobile communication system typified by LTE (Long Term Evolution) is diversified. Therefore, it is difficult to handle all of them with one terminal. As a result, a business operator operating a mobile communication network based on a mobile communication system is forced to create a terminal specialized for the corresponding frequency for its own network. Due to the restriction of the corresponding frequency, there arises a problem that international roaming greatly limits the options of the partner. Furthermore, in the next generation mobile communication system, mismatching of the corresponding frequencies of the international roaming destination network and the terminal expands because it tries to secure a desired band by aggregating more frequencies. As a consequence, there arises a problem that securing of a desired band becomes more difficult. Therefore, as a countermeasure against this, the authors are considering a system that can secure a desired communication band by simultaneously using a plurality of mobile communication networks and effectively utilizing the corresponding frequencies of the terminals. In this paper, in order to verify the system, we have prototyped a terminal that enables simultaneous connection to multiple networks by a single USIM (Universal Subscriber Identity Module), so we report its outline and verification results. |
