抄録(和) | This work presents a demonstration and validation on Power Distribution Network (PDN) ^virtual prototyping ̄ design process aiming to reduce the hardware improvement iterations. The design process is demonstrated through the PDN design of a 2-layer board and validated by post-layout simulation and measurement. A PDN pre-layout model based on modular modeling of sub-circuit component is proposed to stream-line the virtual prototyping process. The results show that good agreement is achieved between PDN impedance obtained from the measurement, post-layout simulation and pre-layout model. Hence this work shows that it is feasible to use the stream-lined virtual prototyping design process in PDN design to reduce hardware improvement iterations. |
