On a unified formulation of semi-implicit FDTD schemes based on the finite integration technique

Abstract(in English) In this paper, formulations of the semi-implicit finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) schemes based on the Newmark-Beta method are reconsidered using the concept of the finite integration technique (FIT). Two semi-implicit schemes in general orthogonal girds are derived by using the FIT matrix notation based on Maxwell’s equations in integral form. It is shown that the two semi-implicit FDTD scheme with implicit time update equation only for magnetic field or electric field can be expressed in the canonical form of two-layer scheme.
