Abstract(in English) Base stations for between remote island satellite communication systems and disaster recovery satellite communication systems are generally required large aperture antenna and high transmission power to have a large number of line. In particular, the uses of TWTA were common to satisfy a high power transmission. SSPA’s output power improvement in the recent years and the easily its operation, requests of replacement from TWTA to SSPA are growing. As a replacement study to SSPA from TWTA, the issue of insufficient SSPA output power is solved to combine some SSPAs output. This paper presents combine type high-power transmitter configuration and control procedure to improve performance degradation at unit SSPA failure. Experimental verification results of the proposed configurations are also described.
