Comparison of symbol synchronization methods in image-sensor VLC

Abstract(in English) In order to realize image-sensor VLC with any symbol rates, we need to estimate transmitted symbol timing from received symbol pattern. Two kinds of symbol synchronization methods by sequential estimation and periodicity of received symbols have already been proposed. In this report, to compare the synchronization capability of two methods, symbol rate range, in which symbol synchronization can be realized with the same number of symbols in the preamble, is clarified by the simulation under the condition that the symbol length is already known.
