Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The purpose of this study is developing a sensor to alleviate the burden on care-givers. We aimed to detect a swallowing of care-receiver using a wearable sensor, and focused on swallowing apnea. As subjects, five normal adult male participated in this study. Two detection methods were tested. Respiration time and the value obtained by regression line of expiration waveform were analyzed. The result in the first analysis showed that the respiration time when swallowing was significantly longer than resting. The second showed the value when swallowing was significantly higher than resting.
