Abstract(in English) | The lower extremity alignment of the lower extremity in the standing position has been evaluated by computed radiography (CR) or a 3D evaluation system using biplanar CR images, a 3D CT bone model and a 2D/3D registration technique. The latter has an advantage of 3-dimensionality, but a limitation of not evaluating vulnerable articular cartilage. In order to eliminate such limitation, we decided to use a 3D MR bone model instead of the CT bone model. Then I developed a 2D/3D registration using an MR bone model and biplanar CR images. For comparison with the previous 3D evaluation system, we established referential values of the position and orientation parameters using a 3D/3D registration of the CT and MR bone models. Consequently, the RMS error of the position and orientation was less than 1 [mm] and 1.5 [deg] on average, respectively. In the next step, we have to improve the orientation error into less than 1 [deg]. |
