| Abstract(in English) | The importance of the monitoring of infrastructures has been recognized. We have developed a multi-static Ground Penetrating Radar “Yakumo” and have applied to monitor inside structure of pavement. Yakumo has 8 pairs of transmitter and receiver antennas, and operate at 50MHz up to 1.5GHz, and its range resolution is about 3cm. Using the GPR data sets acquired by multi-static GPR, we can reconstruct subsurface 3D structure, and its horizontal resolution is about 10cm. Now we are conducting the monitoring of pavement at Haneda International airport under the support of SIP project, and demonstrated that “Yakumo” can detect anomalies inside the pavement by observing non-horizontal structure which can be found in the GPR profiles, and the detected anomaly locations agreed well with the sites detected by conventional acoustic sounding inspections. By coring the samples at the anomalous sites, we could confirm that there was a gap between the laminated pavement layers. |
