Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this study, we proposed a nodding detection method using eye position coordinates obtained from an eye tracking device (Tobii EyeX Controller) as a clicking method for upper limb disabled people. The nodding detection was performed using normalized cross-correlation of eye position coordinates and a nodding template. Experiments on click accuracy and working time were conducted, and the proposed method and the conventional method were compared. In experiments on click accuracy, operability was compared with the nodding detection, the eye fixation, the press of space key, and the mouse input. Our evaluation was based on click accuracy and working time and examined the effect of click method on work performance (click accuracy, working time).
