Abstract(in English) In this study, the authors propose a multicast video distribution scheme suitable for wireless LAN using SVC (Scalable Video Coding) encoding by communication quality control based on Quality of Experience (QoE) index. In the case of transmitting a multicast packet at a transmission rate matching the long distance receiving terminal, congestion occurs because occupy the transmission time of the wireless band. Therefore, the performance of the wireless LAN system deteriorates. A terminal at a short distance can deliver high resolution video that can select a high transmission rate. However, in transmission dependent on a distant terminal, a transmission rate that sufficiently satisfies the QoE can not be obtained. In this paper, we describe the problem of the conventional scheme and the algorithm of the proposed schemed. In the computer simulation, the effectiveness of the proposed method was confirmed from the throughput characteristics and the evaluation value of QoE. Moreover, From the evaluation results, the proposed method confirmed that the area where the QoE evaluation value of 3.5 or more is expanded by about 30% or more of the conventional scheme.
