Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Evaluation of acoustic properties of tissue in microscopic region leads to understanding the relationship between echo signal and microstructure in ultrasound tissue characterization. This report demonstrates the analysis of the specific acoustic impedance of rat liver (nomal model, fatty model and cirrhotic model) using a scanning acoustic microscopy with 250 MHz transducer with a resolution of 7 μm. As a result, the texture that seems to be the structure like hepatocytes and lipid droplets were observed in acoustic impedance map in case of 250 MHz ultrasound. There were more clear compared with the result of 60 MHz ultrasound with a resolution of 20 μm. However, it was difficult to know the acoustic impedance of each tissue of the organelles.
