Cell ID Detection Probability of Frequency Domain PVS Transmit Diversity for Frequency Offset for NB-IoT Radio Interface

Abstract(in English) This paper proposes a frequency offset estimation and compensation method for narrowband synchronization signals using frequency domain precoding vector switching (PVS) transmit diversity for narrowband (NB)-Internet-of-Things (IoT). Link-level simulation results show that the localized PVS transmit diversity in frequency domain achieves almost the identical physical cell ID (PCID) detection probability to that of the time domain PVS transmit diversity when the maximum frequency offset is lower than approximately 7 kHz and that the detection probability is improved by approximately 5 - 11 % compared to one-antenna transmission. We also show although the PCID detection probability using the localized PVS transmit diversity improves compared to one-antenna transmission, it is decreased compared to the time domain PVS transmit diversity according to the increase in the frequency offset value.
