Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In IEEE 802.11 wireless local area networks (WLANs), co-channel interference (CCI) among stations (STAs) connected to the same access point (AP) leads large degradation of system performance such as throughput, delay and etc. Furthermore, CCI from neighbor APs using the same channel occurs in high density environment. In order to achieve efficient communication in WLAN, it is important to select communication channel considering CCI from neighbor APs at time of AP activation. Existing methods designed to minim CCI by AP’s channel selection have been proposed, however these methods didn’t consider impact to subsequently activated APs. Therefore, we propose a channel selection method which considers impact to subsequently activated APs from state of channel utilization in surrounding environment. In the proposed method, AP switches criteria for channel selection depending on state of channel utilization over the all channels. We present proposed method can achieve the better throughput compared with existing methods without dependence on the number of activated AP through numerical simulation.
