A Study on Parametric Loudspeaker with Random Element Arrangement

Abstract(in English) In order to suppress grating lobe in directivity pattern of parametric loudspeaker with regular transducer arrangement, parametric loudspeaker with random element arrangement was developed. Furthermore, in order to control output beam pattern of parametric loudspeaker with high precision, we compensated elements variation to be used and developed steering system. In addition, we performed computer simulation the directivity of parametric loudspeaker with random element arrangement and measured them in the anechoic room. As a result, it was confirmed that grating lobe caused by the parametric loudspeaker with regular element arrangement was suppressed by that with random element arrangement. Moreover, when the ultrasonic beam was generated using beamformer coefficient calculated by GA, it is confirmed that the performance to suppress grating lobe was improved as compared with delay compensation.
