Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | Human beings recognize facial expressions by performing various information processing from the face. In this research, we focused on the spatial frequency information of the face. The concentric spatial frequency pattern was superimposed on the whole face, and the spatial frequency distribution was transformed globally. At that time, we investigated the influence of transformation of spatial frequency distribution on perceived facial expression. We also compared transformations of similar spatial frequency distributions with change in local, and verified whether global processing is required for facial expression perception by changing the spatial frequency distribution. As a result, it is revealed that the facial expression is perceived irrespective of the original facial expression according to the global spatial frequency information given. |
