Local linear predictive coding for characterizing electro-magnetic noise

Abstract(in English) We are investigating methods of characterizing electric noise to identify the source of the electric noise. For the purpose, we are investigating methods based on the linear predictive coding (LPC). We applied the method to characterizing acoustic noise, and we developed a spectral analyzer which displays spectrum based on the method. Yule-Walker equation is used to solve linear predictive coding, and the aim of the equation is to reduce calculation cost by replacing autocorrelation matrix with a Toeplitz matrix to apply Levinson-Durbin algorithm. The time series for the analysis is replaced with a periodic time series by the replacement, and is not suit for the analysis of transient signal. Therefore, we introduced a method which does not apply above replacement and applies LPC locally, to obtain local characteristics of transient signal.
