Abstract(in English) | 10GBASE-T uses all 4 pairs of the LAN cable, and realizes full duplex transmission capacity of 11.2 Gbps for 100 m, where 3.5 bits are sent every 1.25 ns for each pair, i.e. 2.8 Gbps (800 Mbaud×3.5 bits). The PCS converts 64 bits to 65 bits after scramnling, forms 512×7 bit LDPC frame for 50 blocks of 65 bits; 512×7 bits consist of 512×4 bits encoded by LDPC(2048, 1723) and uncoded 512×3 bits (1527 bits, 8 bits of CRC, and auxiary 1 bit). Each 7 bit signal is one to one mapped to one of 128 points in the 2 dimensional DSQ 128 (Double SQuare 128) partitioning into 16 subsets; 4 coded bits select a subset, and 3 uncoded bits select a point within the subset. The two values of the horizontal and vertical axes in DSQ128 are converted into two PAM16s, and each PAM-16 is sent every 125 ns for one pair. The PMA uses a hubrid, a echo canceller, a NEXT canceller to transmit full duplex data over one pair, and also an adaptive equalizer to reduce intersymbl interference like 1000BASE-T. Unkike 1000BASE-T 10GBASE-T suppresses FEXT by uing 4×4 matrix FFE (Feed Forward Equalizer) as well as 4 DBE (Decision Feedback Equalizer) and introduces the Tomlison-Harashima Precoding at the transmission side to reduce intersymbol interference. 10GBASE-T achieves full duplex transmission of 100 m over the Cat-6A cable (STP). |
