| Abstract(in English) | By the growing popularity of open source software and could technology, Central Offices Re-architected as Datacenters (CORD) using Open Network OS(ONOS) has been proposed for changing the central office architecture paradigm. CORD defines an Optical Line Termination (OLT) devices as a whitebox which provides primitive packet transfer function and moves traditional management software features inside of server computers; that is the reason of naming it as re-architected as datacenters. This presentation introduces; abstracted overview of ONOS and CORD, ONOS implementation over whitebox 10G-EPON, realization of virtual OLT Hardware Adaptation (vOLTHA), and discussion for bringing openness in a vOLTHA and its challenges. In the last, introduce a vOLT field trial plan at CIST aims to apply the technology to a smart city. |
