Abstract(in English) | Mobile traffic increases tremendously in recent years due to the proliferation of smartphones and tablets. Adding to that, tremendous number of IoT devices are expected to further stress the needs for the establishment of an extremely broadband and low latency wireless communication infrastructure. mmWave overlaid heterogeneous networks have been considering as a candidate for future 5G cellular networks; however to further exploit it efficiently in terms of low latency, it is necessary to introduce storage/prefetching function to the small cells by predicting UE's movements. Such function will alleviate burden of backhauling as well. This paper proposes a mechanism of MEC embedded mmWave HetNet to deal with the above-mentioned issue. |
