Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Campus net must be one of new applications of cellular network. This new application needs use of millimeter wave. However, use of millimeter wave needs shadow-off methods since the transmission with millimeter wave is based on LoS (Line of Sight). To achieve this, mirror or distributed antennas are necessary. This paper discusses shadow compensation method focusing on the direct radio propagation of millimeter wave. In the application, the campus net uses a modified LTE protocol and conducts random access transmission like Ethernet. The main alternatives use distributed antennas, each of which configure a sub cell of a single cell, though each distributed antenna in LTE systems works in each different area. Each distributed antenna use one of divided portions of OFDM band, and multiple distributed antennas conduct parallel transmission to the same UE (User Equipment) to keep off the shadow effect. The required OFDM band is the same that of non-overlapped standard cell, though the distributed antennas use larger resources in each cell than the standard cell.
