Abstract(in English) Recently, demand for a feasible system that efficiently collects and analyzes sensing data in Internet of Things (IoT) network is increasing. To monitor railroad crossings as one of IoT applications, we have proposed a video surveillance system. This system detects human activities using various types of sensors and controls video transmission rate according to detected events. In this paper, we develop a prototype system and evaluate system performances such as event detection accuracy and video traffic reduction volumes.
