Singular-point compensation in Polarimetric-Interferometric Synthetic aperture radar systems

Abstract(in English) In interferogram obtained by interferometric synthetic aperture radar, there are many singular points (SPs) which make it difficult to generate accurate digital elevation model. This paper proposes a filtering method to adaptively compensate SPs by using polarization and phase information around the SPs. In order to handle polarization and phase information simultaneously, we define phasor quaternion (PQ) by combining quaternion number and complex number, thereby we construct the theory of phasor quaternion neural networks (PQNNs). The proposed PQNN filter compensates SPs effectively. In particular, it realizes stably accurate compensation even in situations where conventional methods deteriorate in their performance.
