Abstract(in English) With the recent advances in cloud computing technologies, there is an increasing demand of the coding scheme for screen contentscontaining a significant portion of computer-rendered graphics. HEVC-SCC (High Efficiency Video Coding-Screen Content Coding) adopted palette coding techniques, which can improve coding efficiency since screen contents have a small number of distinct colors. Copyright protection for digital products is essential because they are easily reproduced. This paper proposes a partial-scrambling scheme for screen contents based on palette coding techniques. The proposed method changes the pixel values by applying cyclic shift operations to the indices in a paletteto realize copyright protection by partial-scrambling. Experimental results show thatthe proposed method is able to control the intensity of scrambling by setting two parameters, the range of pixel values to which cyclic shift is applied and the number of bits to shift.
