Abstract(in English) | The packet reordering in the short fixed period is considered in this paper. We believe that the data will be transmitted by dynamic and parallel ways in the near future, thus, it can cause the more frequent and periodical packet reordering. This leads to unnecessary retransmissions and throughput degradation in the TCP. There are many researches to improve the TCP performance with packet reordering, but considered reorder inter-vals are based on the existing Internet measurement, and short and fixed reorder intervals caused by the flexible transmission schemes have not studied sufficiently. Therefore, in this paper, we vary the fixed reorder interval from under RTT to over RTT, and evaluate the communication performance of TCP NewReno and Cubic. From the simulation results, we show that the performance of TCP Cubic is highly affected by the packet reordering. |
