| Abstract(in English) | Speech rate conversion (SRC) is one of the most potential techniques for supporting hearing impaired. SRC is a technique that converts playback speed of speeches while maintaining their vocal pitches. Utterances slowed down by SRC is effective for improving audibility. However, this technique has a drawback in which users are hard to take turns due to long switching pauses. In the article we propose and developed a visual feedback functions that can share the listening end time information for facilitating turn-talking among conversation participants. The experimental results show that proposed method was effective for decreasing response latency. It suggests that the proposed method contributes to smoothing turn-takings and also to performance improvements of conversations. |
