[Poster Presentation] Sound localization using shoulder-type wearable loudspeaker with end-fire array

Abstract(in English) We proposed a novel personal reproduction system to replace headphones using a wearable shoulder-type loudspeaker array with two end-fire arrays. We aimed for the realization of a sound field that presents low sound leakage around the listener and creates sound images that can simulate a live listening experience. To prevent sound leakage around the listener, we directed the directional beam to the listener with directivity control using the end-fire array. We used head-related transfer functions (HRTFs) to localize the sound images. In this paper, we created a prototype of the proposed method to verify its performance in a real environment. We conducted simulations to confirm the performance of the crosstalk canceler for sound localization using HRTFs and directivity control. We confirmed that the crosstalk canceler and directivity control functioned correctly. Additionally, we conducted a subjective listening test for sound image localization. The listener perceived the rough sound image localization to be on the horizontal plane.
