A Study on Change-Point Prediction in Mobile Networks

Abstract(in English) Traffic volumes in mobile networks could be fluctuated spatiotemporally due to the change of communicational place and situation. Change-point prediction techniques are important to prevent a degradation of communication qualities. In this article, we study a change-point prediction technique to predict a timing when the statistics of the number of mobile accesses are changed drastically. In this technique, to verify a correlative relationship, a time lag of maximum cross-correlation function for a certain pairwise base station is calculated by shifting of time series of mobile accesses. Then a change-point is predicted by a correlative relationship of a certain pairwise base station. We evaluate the efficacy of the studied technique with simulation experiments.
