Abstract(in English) | It is said that a human is insensitive to the phase change of sound. Based on the character, there are some methods of Acoustic Communication using Phase Modulation. In this kind of methods, it is difficult to raise the data transmission rate and reduce discomfort of hearing at the same time. In this paper, we expect that the discomfort of hearing come from discontinuity in the phase and have tried to reduce it by processing per subcarrier. We suggest three processing methods and compare the effectiveness by using PEAQ algorithm. As a result of the experiments in a sine wave, processing per subcarrier is effective in specific condition. However, we also confirm that it is ineffective when it is applied to the music. As a result of all experiments, we conclude that the impact on the discomfort by breaking relations between subcarriers is stronger than that by discontinuity in the phase. |
