Abstract(in English) | To realize an intelligential society, wireless smart utility networks (Wi-SUN) have been introduced in various fields. To operate many terminals in a large network, a hierarchical mesh networking protocol has been standardized in IEEE 802.15.10 task group. Terminals in Wi-SUN networks may not use a commercial power supply and must work with battery for a long time without maintenance. Considering the power consumption for transmitting or receiving packets, a Layer 2 routing (L2R) using load balancing algorithm is needed. In this report, firstly, the characteristics of the L2R mesh network is evaluated with Received signal weakness (RSW) based metric complied with IEEE 802.15.10. Secondly, this report proposes a new load balancing routing algorithm that can be implemented to the RSW-based L2R considering the accumulated number of sending times. Finally, computer simulations show that the proposed scheme improves the load unbalancing rate by around 56% comparing with the conventional RSW-based IEEE 802.15.10 complied L2R. |
