Abstract(in English) | We proposed a novel object detection scheme based on image blur evaluatedby Haar-like Features and DFT. The scheme shows excellent detection accuracy butcomputation speed of it is quite slow. To improve the computation speed, we proposed faster scheme using only spatial domain filtering insteadof time consuming DFT. The newer scheme improved computation speeddrastically but real-time cannot be achieved. To solve this problem, this paper proposes a parallel implementation of the object detectionscheme based on image blur using only spatial domain filtering on a GPU. Experimental results using synthesized images showed about 290 timesfaster processing speed without accuracy degradation. |
