Abstract(in English) | We evaluate robustness of a digital watermarking method using KAZE features. Watermarks need to be extracted from distorted images. The attacks to images include geometric transforms, e.g., scaling and rotation. Watermarked regions in an image are relocated by the transforms. Therefore, invariant feature detectors are introduced. The watermarked regions are selected based on invariant feature points. The SIFT feature detector, that is one of the major detectors, uses Gaussian filter as a smoothing filter. Since details of the features are isotropically smoothed by the Gaussian filter, edges of the features become blurred and then these points cannot be detected as feature points. We propose a watermarking method using KAZE features, which uses nonlinear diffusion filter as anisotropically smoothing. Watermarked regions are located around the KAZE feature points, and then the watermarks are embedded in the DCT coefficients of the regions by using QIM. We evaluated the method by peak signal-to-noise ratio and bit error rate. As results, the proposed method could generate stego-images with small distortion. Moreover, the watermarks could be extracted without errors from images compressed by JPEG when at least 18 feature points were detected in the clipped images. |
