Job Interview Support System Based on Analysis of Nonverbal Behavior

Abstract(in English) Job interviews are important for the people who are finding jobs. Nonverbal behavior of interviewees affects to their impression and is one of the important factors for their success. This study aims at developing job interviewee support system that analyzes nonverbal behavior of interviewees and gives feedbacks of good and bad behavior. In order to detect the nonverbal behavior that affect to the interviewer’s evaluation, we recorded several interviews and derived correlations between interviewees’ nonverbal behavior and interviewers’ evaluation. As a result, gesture, smile, eye contact, interjectional words, and silent duration were derived for the questions that interviewers were expected, and gesture, smile, and interjectional words were detected for the questions that interviewers were not expected. According to the experimental result, the validities of gesture, smile, and eye contacts were proved.
