Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) There are many routes in the suburbs of Tokyo, and they are crowded. For that reason, it is difficult to distinguish between routes and dot symbols in these tactile railway maps. Thus, we made many dot symbols with different shapes and sizes, representing the stations. Then, we had a blind parson evaluate dot symbols we made. As the result, we found that circular dot symbols with a diameter of 4 mm and more were easy to distinguish from routes compared with other dot symbols.
