Abstract(in English) | To mitigate the burden of maintaining carrier’s transport networks to keep the high availability, we proposed the technique to repair the failed resource using shared backup resource remotely. In this paper, we clarified requirements for multi-layer optical transport systems to implement the proposed technique, and then analyzed issues to adopt conventional systems. Conventional systems require a long period of time to make paths migrate from the failed resource to the shared backup resource due to the large number of operation. We propose an architecture of a multi-layer optical transport system capable of flexible accommodation of paths. In our proposed architecture, the logical resource, of which the correspondence to the physical resource is managed independent of paths, is introduced. The path migration is completed by updating the correspondence of the logical resource to the physical resource. |
