Automatic Transcription of Slap Bass Using Spectral Characteristics and Performance Constraints

Abstract(in English) It is a very important element technology to estimate the pitch in automatic transcription. In pitch estimation targeting electric bass, estimation error caused by change in the spectral characteristics because of difference in performance is a problem. In this paper, we propose a new method to simultaneously estimate performance and pitch by obtaining the shortest path of network by introducing spectral characteristics and performance constraints for slap bass. From experimental result, by introducing the performance constraint, the accuracy of pitch and performance estimation improved by 10.6 $ % $ on average, reaching 88.9 $ % $.
