User Selection Algorithm Considering Time Degradation of CSI for MU-MIMO systems

Abstract(in English) Multiuser MIMO attracts attention as a technology for increasing the speed and capacity of wireless communication. In this paper, we propose PUS-EF, PUS-FUS, and PUS-EF-FUS combining them in order to prevent degradation of orthogonality among transmission target user due to time degradation of CSI. PUS-EF and PUS-FUS are schemes to prevent degradation of orthogonality among transmission target users caused by CSI error. In the former, new CSI users are selected with priority based on the evaluation function that takes account of the elapsed time form CSI final update. In the latter, the newest CSI users are selected with priority in first user selection. We verify the effectiveness of the proposed scheme from the viewpoint of total communication capacity and fairness among users by computer simulation. The results show that the proposed scheme achieves higher total communication capacity and maintains fairness compared to a conventional scheme.
