Abstract(in English) | Nowadays, Vehicle to Vehicle (V2V) communication are expected to produce comfortable driving. But occupying new resources for V2V communication will be extremely difficult due to the spectrum scarcity problem. On the other hand, it is clearly shows that spatially and/or temporally unused spectrums (White spaces: WSs) are spread over the bands that Primary User (PU) holds license. Therefore, since a cognitive radio technology that Secondary User (SU) who does not hold spectrum license uses gets a great deal of attention. In this study, this technology is applied to V2V communication. Two sorts of the WS detection method have been proposed so far: white space database (WSDB) use or sensing use. In the case of WSDB use, the communication can be easily maintained even under high speed mobility because SU acquires the WS information about multiple locations towards moving direction from WSDB via wireless network in advance. However, its communication performance deeply depends on WSDB connectivity. To solve this issue, SU complementarily performs sensing when SU cannot communicate with WSDB. Sensing can be performed at anywhere irrespective of WSDB, whereas acquisition of WS at multiple location cannot be achieved. Furthermore, communication duration is decreased due to frequent interruption of sensing processes. So we propose methods to estimate WSs and select a D-ch. Through simulation experiment, we demonstrated that the channel switching times can be greatly reduced, thereby improving the throughput performance effectively. |
