Study on groundless electrically coupling non-contact power transfer to horizontally shifting systems

Abstract(in English) We propose a WPT system that directly connects an electrode plate to a λ/2 open spiral resonator, where power transmission is possible to the receiving electrode stably placed anywhere on the transmitting electrode even when it is large enough. Our experimental result shows that approximately 80% of maximum transmission efficiency is attained for the receiving electrode of 20x14cm with the distance of 2cm on the transmitting electrode as large as 200x15cm. In addition, we have reduced unloaded Q deterioration of the resonator by introducing a constant space when we insert a thick concrete with the substantial dielectric loss in the power transfer space and obtained an average of 60% of transfer efficiency at 8cm for the transmitting and receiving electrode interval, which is equal to the case of the air separation.
